Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic B participates as a team member in a high volume, light manufacturing environment. Responsible primarily to maintain filling and packing equipment including operation, quality, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing activities to meet production needs in an efficient and safe manner.
Essential functions

 

The Maintenance Mechanic B participates as a team member in a high volume, light manufacturing environment. Responsible  primarily to maintain filling and packing equipment including operation, quality, maintenance, troubleshooting and repaireing activities to meet production needs in an efficient and safe manner.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES will include the following (but are not limited to):           

 

  • Drive execution of reactive maintenance on filling and packaging machines and related equipment and conduct predictive and preventative maintenance activities as required
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical issues.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hdydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
  • Read manufactures instructions, manuals, and ability to execute from them
  • Provides emergency/unsheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Mechanics interact with the leadership group, production team members, quality assurance and other maintenance technicians to improve and maximize plant efficiency, quality and safety

 

 

 

Physical Requirements

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites con be loud.

 

Qualification

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment

  • Minimum 1-year maintenance experience in an industrial environment, consumer products or food & beverage experience preferred.

  • Refrigeration/HVAC Trade or Vocational certification preferred
