Job Summary
Position Scope: PLM Operations is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator for the overall management of our digital media (internal, customer facing, and consumer facing), whilst embracing a supportive role for our sales team. Our Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to make sure each project gets the resources and attention needed to be successful.
Essential functions


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fluent in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter. Corporate-level social media marketing experience a plus

  • Develop monthly content for each social channel, and update content marketing calendar

  • Monitor social media analytics to come up with creative solutions/strategies to adequately target appropriate consumer demographic.

  • Audit and enforce brand standards across digital and print media.

  • Support with print media orders and execution.

  • Manage online product database (1WorldSync, Retail Link, etc.)

  • Experience with social media advertising strategies and increasing followership a plus

  • Execute social campaigns focused around increasing engagement and showcasing our products

  • Ongoing social media training for internal staff to maximize their utilization of social media

  • Keep La Michoacana positioned for success in social media by monitoring trends on each different platform

  • Position may require working nights and weekends for special events

  • In house product photography as needed 

  • Assist in organizing event attendance and/or execution
  • Create tailored ads for different media channels (Google, Facebook/Instagram, etc.)

  • Position may have occasional travel to attend La Michoacana sponsored events where social media engagement is important Assist in organizing event attendance and/or execution

  • Create monthly social media performance reports

  • Primary social customer service contact for inbound private messages and public comments

  • Handle La Michoacana’s general email inbox and general sales inquiry calls and forward to appropriate brand representative/department.

  • Serve as the liaison between departments to update company communication board messages on a monthly basis

  • Support internal initiatives to promote a positive company culture.

  • Other tasks as needed.


Physical Requirements

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.






  • Outgoing, energetic, and team-spirited

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English). Fluent.

  • Experience in Illustrator, Photoshop.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

  • College courses or College degree, preferably in marketing, communications, PR, business management, or graphics design a plus but not necessary.

  • Corporate/business social media management experience a plus.

  • Content and performance portfolios samples a plus

  • Self-motivated team player

  • Photography experience a plus

  • Superb attention to detail

  • Demonstrated quantitative analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • The position is located at company headquarters in Modesto, California
